Parks and Recreation Director Brian Cruise told City Council that Pickleball was now available at the Blue Ash Recreation Center in the Blue Gym Monday-Friday from 1-4 pm. At the January 13 Blue Ash City Council Meeting, the Council heard the first reading of an ordinance that would allow Low Speed Vehicles on City streets. Council members supporting the move, chose to advance a version that would allow these vehicles on any roads permitted by state law. A more restrictive version that confined the vehicles to roads with speed limits of 25 mph or less was dropped. Final action could be taken at the February 10 City Council meeting.

Long-time Blue Ash staffer, Mike Duncan, reported to City Council that starting in February the AARP Foundation will be offering free tax filing assistance in the area. Beginning in February people will be able to make an appointment for an in-person meeting at the Sharonville Community Center (513) 563-2895.

To help serve residents of the City and to provide guidance to the Administration and Council, several boards and commissions have been established, as outlined in the City’s Charter and Code of Ordinances. All positions to these boards and commissions are volunteer and are made via appointment by City Council. Find out more about each on the City website.
In addition to this, the the Sycamore Community Schools Sycamore Advisory Commission (SAC) is seeking members who are interested in serving the Board of Education by researching questions from the board and participating in subcommittees to inform some long-term decisions. New City Council Sworn In
The new and returning members of the Blue Ash City Council were sword in at a brief meeting on December 1. In addition to returning members Lee Czerwonka, Jill Cole, and Jeff Capell, Brian Gath was sworn in to represent Ward 2. After members were sworn, they elected to keep Mark Sirkin and Pramod Jhaveri as the city’s Mayor and Vice Mayor for another two years.
Blue Ash City Council Considers Park Proposal and Drive Through Restaurants
At their meeting on October 14, the Blue Ash City Council approved zoning on the old Kmart site and offered favorable opinions on a concept for the redevelopment of Towne Square Park.
