Proposal to Replace Quality Inn with Apartments

The Guttman Development Group has asked the Blue Ash Planning Commission to consider a Concept Development Plan for 5901 Pfeiffer Road, currently the site of the Quality Inn Hotel. Their plan is for 300 “Class A”, “market-rate” apartments, associated amenities, and a 517 space parking garage. The Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the plan at their meeting Thursday, May 1 at 6:30 PM in City Council Chambers at the Municipal & Safety Center 4343 Cooper Road. Former Ward 2 City Council Representative Died

William Joseph (Joe) Leet, who served as a member of the Blue Ash City Council representing Ward 2 from 2017 to 2021, died January 3, 2025 following a long illness. I knew Joe as a person who did his very best for our ward and who was never shy about letting everyone know exactly how he felt. His Celebration of Life will be held at McCauley’s Pub in Sharonville, Ohio, on this Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. You can read his obituary here.

Matthew 25 Ministries Seeking Approval for Chapel, Function Space

Matthew 25 Ministries is seeking to add a Chapel and a multi-purpose “Function Space” to their facility at 11060 Kenwood Road. The addition, which backs up to homes on Cook Avenue in the Hazlewood Neighborhood, will go before the Board of Site Arrangement early in 2023. Comments and concerns about this project can be shared with the board by emailing them to Paul Kleier at the City of Blue Ash.

Hamilton County established a website where people can find COVID relief resources. You can access all of the resources at 513relief.org. There you will be able to access programs to help with housing, small businesses, employment, vaccination and testing and more. If you are a home owner, know that changes to the programing now allows some residents to receive assistance with mortgages and property taxes.
