Council Sets Public Hearing for The Blue

The Blue development project at the corner of Cooper and Kenwood Roads is progressing. At their meeting last week, the Planning Commission approved the initial concept of a Planned Unit Development for the site. The City Council has scheduled a public hearing for 7:05 PM on Thursday, August 14th. Blue Ash City Council met in August for a work session to hear more information about Circle Development’s proposal for the property on the northeast corner of Kenwood and Cooper Roads. TLDR: After a market analysis, the developer took out plans for a hotel and replaced it with additional space for entertainment, retail, and small offices. The City’s planning consultant testified that the proposal was obviously designed to meet the City’s Downtown Strategy Plan that Council approved last year.

Blue Ash Chili, a Blue Ash institution, is preparing to close their current shop on Friday, April 9th. Their new restaurant at 9525 Kenwood Road in the Crossings of Blue Ash (down from the CVS store) will open on April 12 after a $300,000 renovation to the space.
